"WGT 2012, Freitag Abend, 23 Uhr: Während andernorts in der agra-Halle tausende Besucher auf die aus Funk und Fernsehen bekannten Medienlieblinge Eisbrecher warten, habe ich mich für die „undergroundige" Alternative entschieden und lausche in der Moritzbastei den ersten Klängen der griechischen Synthie-Popper Cylix. Ich darf ein abwechslungsreiches Konzert erleben, das stetig immer mehr an Intensität gewinnt und mich nach einer knappen Stunde ausgesprochen zufrieden zurück lässt... CYLiX "alpha" review @ Brutal Resonance

"...CYLiX borders around artists like Assemblage 23, System Syn, Edge of Dawn and also a bit of later years Depeche Mode, especially in the 3rd track “Miles Divide” that easily could have been on ‘Playing The Angel’ without anyone raising an eyebrow. It’s a bit softer, but forceful electro with great melodies, vocals and song structure. I really like artists with powerful choruses and CYLiX surely has some of those. Since the album has been mastered by ex Front 242 member Len Lemeire, there’s nothing at all to complain about when it comes to sound quality either... simply a great album"

"...As far as melodic synthpop goes, there are definitely a dime a dozen out there trying to find their own niche and their own style. So when one stands out enough from the rest to be recognized, it's a great pleasure to be able to share it with the world. This album is one of those that I think any fan can listen to and enjoy as more than a copy, yet within the genre boundaries to keep them grounded in the synthpop roots... Overall it's a nice work with some great tracks, more great melodic synthpop to add to any fan's collection, definitely enjoyable."
