CYLiX roots go back to 2000 when Plasma G and DV/H, two well known DJ’s and event organizers of the electro/goth scene in Greece, start to experiment and compose music driven by their mutual love for synthpop/electro music and bands like De/Vision, Mesh and NeuroticFish. In 2004, Plasma G met after a long time his old friend Harry while both serving their army duty. Harry joined the band as a live drummer but a few weeks later, he became the lead singer after some surprisingly great rehearsals in studio with him on vocals. The project with a singer for the first time, finds at last its own identity and unique sound. CYLiX is born! In 2008, some months after a gig in Thessaloniki and the release of the CYBERNATION compilation cd which included the song "So Much For Love", DV/h who wanted more time to concentrate on his own EBM project left the band on good terms. The band decided to continue as a duo and started immediately to re-record and re-arrange its material. At this time, CYLiX performed live along with famous bands such Lights Of Euphoria and CYLiX songs have been remixed by well-known bands such as PSYCHE, LIGHTS OF EUPHORIA, FORESIN. The next years CYLiX took part in various compilations such as "Dark Alliance vol. 4" (Germany), "Modern Synthpop vol.1" and "Modern Synthpop vol.2" (USA). At the end of December 2010 CYLiX releases their debut cd album "alpha" by the German label "Life Is Painful Records" which soon enough climbed at top 30 in Poponaut 's sales rank. The album, mastered by Len Lemeire (ex- FRONT 242, IMPLANT), was granted with some enthusiastic reviews in forums and magazines like Brutal Resonance, Gothic Paradise, darkwave.ro, Poponaut, etc. and has gained great airplay and Top 10 ratings in radios like RSA, Ardilla, Tonkuhle, Club Radio (USA), and flippinradio. In the meanwhile CYLiX made a remix for the INLINE SEX TERROR song "Hellektro Girl" (2010). In 2012 CYLiX (with the addition of Ilias on the drums) played live in WGT 2012 as headliners at Moritzbastei stage (Leipzig, 25 May 2012). At present, after some more remixes and even more participations sucha as the US legendary Electronic saviors vol.4, vol.5 and vol.6, CYLiX work on their next release.
